The hours of operation are horrible 11…

The hours of operation are horrible 11 AM on on weekdays is there opening time and on weekends it's 12 noon it's no wonder their sales are lacking.

Cancelation time ridiculous. Store and Online items prices different

So I went to the store and the price of Iron was $49.99 on sale. Unfortunately there was none available so placed an order online. When I checked my receipt saw that they charged me $59.99. When I talked to the manager she told me the price in store and online is different. First store I found which told me like that. I told them I want to cancel the order. They said they can't do it I have to do it online. So I come back home and talked to customer service. So they said they can't help me as the order has to be canceled within 30 minutes. I have been with them for more than 15 years and that's how I got treated. Very unhappy about this whole experience.

DON'T buy anything from JC Penny…

DON'T buy anything from JC Penny furniture sales. You are better off taking your chances ordering furniture from China! Their customer service is horrible ! I was delivered a defective loveseat and they wanted to charge me an $85 delivery fee and 15% restocking fee for returning defective merchandise! Then they wanted to come and pick up the defective item before ordering me a new one which means several weeks without furniture. And better yet, they want to charge the new one to your credit card again before they even credit the older purchase. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Deal with a local person to purchase large items. You are wasting your money if you buy from JC Penny!! They should have gone out of business years ago!

Don't just "DON'T" I purchased a pair of Amanda 16 p Gloria vanderbilt Jean's! They were seriously too long NOT petite and this pair was made in china !!!!! The pair of GV Jean's that I loved had been made in Sri lanka! Chalking this Penneys purchase up to a bad Awful experience and business for Pulling the wool over customers eye's I will "NEVER" "EVER" again buy anything from JC Penney's! I am not paying for the return of these jeans! So I'm stuck with them and a bad costly experience

JCP can sell any garbage and back off of responsibility

I wish I could give a -5 star rating. I purchased a pair of Ashely bar stool from JCP. I realized later that the chairs were lacking wooden support on the seat. They are super uncomfortable and make my thigh hurt. They sent me defective items. I called to JCP customer service and they denied to adjust or return of the order simply because it's past 90 days. The customer service manger was rude and simply denied to make any correction on the mistake they committed. Can a seller like JCP sell any garbage to customers and rob customers' hard-earned money? Can a seller like JCP back off from their responsibility of consumer satisfaction? I am not surprised JCP is doing super poorly and vanishing from the market. I am super disappointed and will never return to JCP in my life again, will tell to do so to my family and friends. Adios JCP!

I have been a loyal JCP customer since…2010 and am being treated like dirt!

I have been a loyal JCP customer since 2010. I have always paid my monthly bills on time and in full. My card expired on August 31, 2022 and I was never sent a replacement card like in the past. I have been on the phone with JCP for almost half an hour. I have been told that my account was closed and have not been given a reason why. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the elevator music has stopped so I believe they have blown me off. No wonder JCP is going bankrupt!

Their customer service is terrible!

Their customer service is terrible!! I ordered over the phone the representative places my order which was buy 2 get 1 free. I asked if I would get my third item free she told me yes. My order came nope no 3rd item. Called them was on hold for 2 hours then was hung up on and it continued I asked to speak with a manager. Another hour later still not making progress. All I wanted was my third item shipped to me but because the lady who placed my order didn’t put three in a cart they couldn’t do it!!! What the hell!’ Then the manager was so rude she hung up on me. You know what JCPenney your service sucks and I will never go to your store, purchase from your store! It’s no wonder you all are going out of business!!! All I asked for was my free bottle of shampoo and conditioner. I paid for it where is it. I was patient with you for being on hold for 2 hours and being hung up on several times.

I need a negative star - Would not return not even for store credit.

I need a negative star. JCP doesn't deserve any stars. I tried to return a couple of items at the store this morning (Bonita, San Diego) clerk mentioned that because it has been more than 60 days she couldn't return the items, I said I understand and I could get store credit and she said not, that items after 60 days could not be returned at all. once I got home, I called customer service and they told me that it was based on the discretion of the clerk, but she couldn't do anything because I was the one who failed to return items within 60 days. I don't know about any other store that will not offer store credit in this situation, my items still have the tag and they are new, never worn, I was returning because my husband did not like how they looked on him. I now know what store not to buy from.
